This book is intended for the would be film maker, working on any type of equipment, who would like to learn more about the hidden features and possibilities tied to his equipment, from original pictures to final editing and distribution.

Wether it be an ultra basic portable device such as an iPhone or action GoPro camera to the most high end camera capable of full rage colour and 8K+ image size for large screen presentation. I have had, in my long career as cinematographer, to tackle so many technical and creative issues tied to the equipment I used that I ended up keeping notes on important issues, mostly related to file formats, data transfer speeds and better editing practices.

I have thus collected in this book, the more daunting ones that I was faced with as cinematographer in my documentaries, drama shorts and so many corporate productions. I often learned on the spot or through product manuals, often with only my plain intuition to solve constant difficult choices.

This is not a do it yourself manual, it is an honest discussion on the issues we all face in our work, along with my best ideas and suggested course of actions to deal with them. Each chapter will no doubt open your mind and bring you to look deeper in the subjects at hand, always of course, with the constant dream of delivering your best work yet!
